More About Abu Maruf

Maruf’s first book, “Forced Marriage”, Published in 2012, attracted worldwide readers from different backgrounds. Responses from the readers made him interested to study Creative Writing at University of Oxford. Later while studying Writing for Performance at University of Cambridge he wrote and directed “Song of the 7th March” which is the first ever English song based on the historic speech of Bangabandhu – the Father of the Nation for Bangladesh. Maruf’s urdu poem “Sonia” also mesmerized a large number of the audience from South Asian community.
